PRETTY AWESOME CAKE!
this afternoon, my classmate brought her Vaio and a copy 500 Days of Summer in school. since we were dismissed early by the teacher, we decided to watch the flick..
and it didnt dissapoint me. it was KICK-ASS AMAZING! i so love the movie..
the plot, location, dialogue, characters, fashion, soundtrack... everything was just fantastic!
the storyline struck me the most. it's not like any ordinary, crappy, candy movie cliches we see on the big screen. there was no such thing as butterflies and fantasies, white horses and dashing princes.
this isn't a love story... but a story about LOVE!
what i liked about the movie was the absence of a happy ever after.
it speaks about reality, and our false expectations of love and relationship.
summer finn and tom hansen are for real! you can never get the things you like all the time.
and you can't force someone to believe in love. the twists and surprises of the movie were funny and great, not to mention the hilarious punchlines and natural chemistry between the two stars.
although i deeply sympathize tom's grief and frustration, he couldn't put the blame to Summer since she made it clear beforehand that she dislikes being somebody's girlfriend.. Xp
but it also made me wonder why she got married to another man if she hated commitments?!..
oh well, maybe Summer finally felt the same tangy, heavenly, love at first sight kind of feeling that Tom experienced with her at the greeting card company. hahaha!
Unfortunately, he wasn't the lucky guy.. ;(
i think the most melancholic part of the flick was when Summer told Tom she wasn't sure of him. who wouldn't feel miserable?!.. hahahaha..
and the joyous part?!..
during the 500th day, Tom met..... Autumn! XD
